North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called on his military to “concentrate all efforts on completing war preparations.” As state news agency KCNA reported, Kim made the remarks on Friday during a speech to battalion commanders in Pyongyang, referring to the Korean peninsula as the “biggest trouble spot in the world.” Kim also accuses the USA and South Korea of having brought tensions in Korea to “the worst level in history.”
On Saturday, the Financial Times reported, citing reliable sources, that North Korea is now supporting its ally Russia, in addition to soldiers and ammunition, with the heaviest artillery pieces in the fight against Ukraine. In the past few weeks, almost 50 heavy self-propelled howitzers from North Korean production and almost 20 multiple rocket launchers are said to have arrived in Russia.
