Fighting continues in the north of the Gaza Strip. There are said to have been victims again in Jabaliya. The humanitarian situation is dramatic.
An Israeli attack in the northern Gaza Strip left several people dead, according to a nearby hospital. At least twelve residents were killed when the military bombed a house in Jabaliya during the night, according to sources at the Kamal Adwan Hospital. The victims also include women and minors. According to information, at least ten other people are buried under the rubble of the house.
The information could not initially be verified. When asked, the Israeli army did not initially comment on the incident.
Residents told the German Press Agency that they were woken up by a huge explosion during the attack.
Eyewitnesses describe the conditions in the fiercely contested and largely destroyed town of Jabaliya as catastrophic.
The Israeli army launched a new offensive against Hamas in the area in October. The Islamist organization had therefore tried to regroup there.
