The fact that Elon Musk has put a lot of money on the Trump card is not new. But it has now become known how much a Republican election victory was worth to the tech billionaire.
Tech billionaire Elon Musk has donated more than $250 million (around €236 million) to support Donald Trump’s election campaign. This was reported by US media, citing newly published figures from the US Election Commission.
At least $238 million, the lion’s share of the donations went to Musk’s organization “America PAC,” which the entrepreneur founded, CNN reported. “America PAC” supported the election campaign of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The 53-year-old entrepreneur Musk leads, among other things, the electric car manufacturer Tesla and the space company SpaceX. Musk is supposed to help Trump cut government spending. He is expected to take over the leadership of a specially created advisory committee with former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Musk and Ramaswamy’s work is expected to be completed by July 2026.
The Republican Trump clearly won the presidential election. He is scheduled to be sworn in as US President for the second time on January 20th.
