Palestinians: 21 dead in Israeli attack in Gaza
Israel continues its attacks against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Many civilians are repeatedly killed.
According to Palestinian information, the Israeli army killed 21 people and injured around 30 others in an attack in the Gaza Strip. The air strike hit a residential building in the refugee district of Nuseirat, employees of the Al-Awda Hospital told the German Press Agency. The information could not initially be independently verified.
There was initially no confirmation of the attack by the Israeli army. However, Israel regularly accuses Hamas of using civilians as human shields.
The war was triggered by the massacre by Hamas and other terrorist groups on October 7, 2023 in Israel, with 1,200 dead and around 250 abducted. Israel has been fighting in the Gaza Strip ever since. According to Palestinian information, more than 44,000 people have died in the densely populated coastal strip. When it comes to the number of victims, no distinction is made between fighters and civilians.
Mediation talks for a ceasefire and the release of hostages have been stalled for months.
