Donald Trump raves about the British royals. Now the president-elect is meeting the future king – during a visit to France.
US President-elect Donald Trump met the British heir to the throne, Prince William, on the sidelines of the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. The two met for a bilateral meeting at the British ambassador’s residence after the official Notre Dame ceremony in the French capital. “He’s doing a fantastic job,” Trump said of the 42-year-old when greeting reporters. The appointment was also seen as a further step to welcome the son of King Charles III. to build up as a statesman.
Trump is said to have a fascination with royal splendor and the British royal family. He has repeatedly expressed admiration for King Charles, his wife Queen Camilla and the royals.
William also wanted to meet Jill Biden, the wife of outgoing US President Joe Biden, in Paris.
