The party confirmed on Saturday that complaints against Gelbhaar had been received by the ombudsman’s office at the federal office “this week.” She did not comment on the nature of the complaints.

The party also announced that Gelbhaar had agreed to deal with the allegations in an orderly process. Appropriate positions and structures are in place for this. The state party chairmen Nina Stahr and Philmon Ghirmai also confirmed Gelbhaar’s decision not to run for office.
