Now it is up to the Neos to make the move. The classic way of advertising is with flyers. What is atypical, however, is that advertising is not only made for the party, but also for the vaccination against the coronavirus.
100,000 flyers are printed with the slogan “Ein Stich für dich – Ein Kreuz für Neos”. “We want to use our advertising material to draw attention to the importance of vaccination,” says the top candidate Felix Eypeltauerwho emphasizes that he has been vaccinated twice, of course. On his previous tour through Upper Austria, the conversation often turned to the vaccination: “Many people just want to get better information.” That is why a “direct approach” is needed to those who are still skeptical. Election advertising is at least financed with taxpayers’ money, according to Eypeltauer: “We therefore also call on the other parties to use their election advertising to fight the pandemic.”
