Ukraine crisis: According to Baerbock, Nord Stream 2 is part of the sanctions package against Russia

In the event of renewed aggression, the range of our answers is available , including Nord Stream 2. Yes, we want dialogue at all times. But in view of the current situation, it also takes toughness that makes it unmistakably clear: the sovereign equality of states and the cornerstones of the European peace order are non-negotiable. Our unity is our strongest weapon, if you want to use that word at all. And yes, you can say that quite frankly: Our roles s are not completely identical. We have different roles between different countries. Countries like Poland and Lithuania play a different role than countries like Italy, France and Germany. And for good reasons. Because our strength in this alliance is precisely that we have a clear common position and at the same time use our strengths accordingly in different roles. And Germany – there is no need to brush that aside – Germany also supports Ukraine militarily. Namely – and I would like to make this clear at this point – we are now supplying protective helmets at the request of the Ukrainians.
