Three days after the death drive, operations in the surrounding hospitals returned to normal. The University Hospital in Magdeburg has returned to regular operations. This means that all areas of the university clinic, including the emergency room, are now fully available to the public again, the clinic announced on Monday.
Magdeburg: Psychosocial care is now necessary
In the university hospital alone, 72 injured people were treated immediately after the crime. These include 15 seriously injured patients. Thanks to the extraordinary commitment of the employees and the rapid mobilization of all resources, medical care was guaranteed at all times. The focus of the clinic is now on the recovery of all patients and supporting all those affected who have to deal with the traumatic event.
In the coming weeks, the clinic’s extensive psychosocial emergency care offerings should be continued and made available to patients, employees and relatives.
