Israel’s army is taking massive action against the Islamist Hamas in the north of the Gaza Strip. From there, fighters fired another volley of rockets into the Israeli border area.
Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip fired rockets at Israel for the third day in a row. Five projectiles flew into Israeli territory from the northern Gaza Strip, the Israeli army reported. The missile defense intercepted two of them and the rest hit open areas.
There had previously been a rocket alarm in the border town of Sderot. According to police, rocket parts hit two locations in the city. There were initially no reports of possible victims.
According to media reports, a total of eight rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip since Friday. The projectiles were fired from Beit Hanun, where the army had recently launched a new operation against the Islamist Hamas.
