Since the inauguration takes place on January 20, that means flags will fly at half-mast during Trump’s inauguration and the first week of his term.

Trump’s inauguration is not the first with flags at half-mast
Asked about Trump’s comments, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden had no plans to change or reconsider the half-mast flag.

Donald Trump expected at Jimmy Carter’s state funeral
The six-day memorial service for Jimmy Carter began in Georgia over the weekend. These included a service at Carter’s parents’ home in Plains and a motorcade to Atlanta, according to the Carter Center. A moment of silence was held Saturday at the Georgia State Capitol and an arrival ceremony and service at the Carter Presidential Center. The former president, who served from 1977 to 1981, will lie in state there until January 7th.
The festivities will end on January 9th with a state funeral in Washington and a private funeral in Carter’s hometown of Plains. Carter died there on December 29th at the age of 100, surrounded by his family.
Outgoing President Joe Biden will deliver the eulogy. Among those expected are the four living US presidents: Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump.
