The designated new leader of the Greens, Omid Nouripour, has confirmed that the new party leadership wants to coordinate closely with the Greens ministers in Germany’s traffic light government.

It will not be about the party now somehow giving out yellow cards. But we will be successful together in different roles, but agreed now in this government. »
The foreign politician Nouripour and the social politician Ricarda Lang were elected the new leadership duo by the online party conference of the Greens on Saturday. Baerbock and Habeck had led the Greens in tandem for four years and, according to party rules, could not remain party chairmen as ministers.
