According to media reports, a three-stage plan was drawn up in Doha. This includes the release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners and provides for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
According to Israeli media reports, there has been significant progress in talks about a ceasefire in the Gaza war and the release of the hostages held by Hamas. Accordingly, a three-stage plan was drawn up in the Qatari capital Doha. The Israeli TV channel N12 reported that they are currently waiting for the reaction of the Islamist Hamas. There was initially no official confirmation of the reports.
The indirect negotiations in Doha between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas, in which Egypt and the USA are also mediating alongside Qatar, are, among other things, about the release of Palestinian prisoners in return for the hostages and a withdrawal of Israeli troops.
The agreement that has now been drawn up is reportedly based on a ceasefire plan that US President Joe Biden presented in May last year. N12 reported that in a first phase, more than 30 “humanitarian cases” among the hostages should be released and only then should young men and soldiers be released. The third phase provides for the reconstruction of the largely destroyed Gaza Strip and an alternative government for the coastal strip. Hopes of a final agreement in the tough negotiations have so far been repeatedly dashed.
