Three of the richest men in the world – Musk, Bezos and Zuckerberg – are on good terms with the future US President Trump. This will also be seen at the beginning of the term.
US entrepreneurs and billionaires Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos are expected to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington on Monday. They will also be given prominent seats at the ceremony where, among other things, Trump’s preferred candidates for the Cabinet will sit, as NBC News and the Washington Post reported, citing unnamed officials familiar with the plans.
Tesla and SpaceX boss Musk has the closest ties to the Republican and is expected to advise the future government on cutting spending. Zuckerberg, head of the Facebook group Meta, recently initiated a change of course by moving away from the previous moderation model on his social platforms and thus also a clear rapprochement with Trump and the Republican Party. Zuckerberg is also hosting a reception with major Republican donors in Washington on Inauguration Day. An invitation circulated on X.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who wants to become a competitor to Musk’s SpaceX with his space company Blue Origin and who has owned the “Washington Post” for several years, was recently accused before the US election of relying on an election recommendation from the company for entrepreneurial reasons Editorial for the Democrat Kamala Harris. All three entrepreneurs are said to be hoping for benefits for their companies from being close to Trump.
