Habeck’s projection onto the Hamburger Kunsthalle causes trouble for the Greens

In Munich, the Greens projected Robert Habeck onto the Victory Gate, in Hamburg onto the Kunsthalle – both without permission. Now the CDU Hamburg is taking to the barricades.
A similar light projection by Robert Habeck to the one in Munich is now causing trouble in Hamburg. The depiction of the Green Party’s top candidate with the words “Alliance Chancellor. One person. One word.” had not been coordinated or approved with the responsible authorities and the Hamburger Kunsthalle, the Senate said in response to a small question from the CDU parliamentary group. “The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg does not make any public buildings available for election advertising as it is committed to the principle of neutrality.”
The Hamburg Greens posted a photo of the projection on Instagram on January 3rd. The Bavarian police ended a similar action on the same day at Munich’s Siegestor. The projection in Hamburg could be seen at the Galerie der Aktuell, an extension of the Kunsthalle.

“The behavior of the Greens in ignoring the law is simply outrageous!” said the Hamburg CDU party and parliamentary group leader Dennis Thering. You should abide by the law and order. The Senate must assert claims for damages.
Robert Habeck speaks of “pirate action”
In a campaign speech in Lüneburg on January 10th, Habeck spoke of a “small pirate operation” that was intended to attract attention, which it succeeded in doing. The “Bild” newspaper first reported on the action in Hamburg.
