The Houthi militia repeatedly attacks targets in Israel with rockets and drones. One day before the start of the agreed ceasefire for the Gaza Strip, there is another air alarm.
According to the army, Israel was attacked again with a rocket from Yemen shortly before the agreed ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. There were air alerts in Tel Aviv and other parts of the country and people rushed to shelters.
The army said the projectile was intercepted. There were initially no reports of injuries or damage. There was initially no confirmation of the attack by the Houthi militia. In previous attacks, this usually only came hours later.
The pro-Iranian Houthi militia has been shelling Israel for months. According to her own statements, she wants to support the Islamist Hamas, which fights against the Israeli army and triggered the Gaza war with its terrorist attack on Israel more than 15 months ago. In return, Israel and Western allies repeatedly bombed targets in Yemen.
A ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, initially scheduled to last six weeks, is set to take effect on Sunday. During this time, 33 Israeli hostages are to be exchanged for more than 700 prisoners held by Israel.
