Before the official inauguration ceremony, Donald Trump takes the opportunity to be celebrated again by his supporters in Washington – including the usual campaign rhetoric.
A few hours before he is sworn in again as US President, Donald Trump addresses his supporters again in a speech. “We won,” the Republican opened his speech in a well-filled arena in the US capital Washington.
“I’m thrilled to be reunited with so many friends, supporters and true American patriots to take back our country,” Trump said. “This is the largest political movement in the history of the United States.” The rhetoric of his following remarks was strongly reminiscent of the tone of his election campaign appearances.
Two and a half months after the election, Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on Monday in Washington. The ceremony, originally planned on the west side of the Capitol, was moved at short notice to the domed hall of the Parliament building due to the low temperatures – a location that offers significantly fewer guests.
