The AfD and its leader Alice Weidel have hopes for Donald Trump’s second term in office. Collaborations with large entrepreneurs (like Musk) would also be an option.
AfD leader Alice Weidel can also imagine the integration of the super-rich into a government in Germany, as is the case with tech billionaire Elon Musk in the USA. In response to a corresponding question in the RTL “Candidate Check” she said: “I believe that it would be good for political operations if significantly more people with economic policy expertise and, above all, successful entrepreneurs brought in their expertise so that there would be a significantly better economic policy orientation “This is urgently needed.”
Accordingly, she could “very, very” well imagine having an Elon Musk, a Peter Thiel (Paypal founder) “and of course someone like Theo Müller” in a government. The dairy entrepreneur Müller called Weidel “a friend” in an NZZ interview. She comes to visit more often.
AfD leader Alice Weidel relies on Trump
The AfD looks forward to US President Donald Trump’s second term in office with positive expectations. Trump did not start a war in his first presidency. “And he was the only one who brought peace in Ukraine and also in the Middle East into his election campaign,” said Weidel. “And accordingly, we naturally have new and high hopes for Donald Trump’s presidency.”
I warmly congratulate President Donald Trump on his successful inauguration. I wish @realDonaldTrump and the citizens of America much success and God’s blessing on their path. pic.twitter.com/qEK3yuj0c9
