What messages and calls does Donald Trump receive? A photographer was able to capture what can be seen on the new US president’s cell phone screen.
What photos are on the smartphones of prime ministers and presidents? What messages do they get, who calls them?
Politicians often keep this a secret. After all, it often involves confidential conversations or text messages that are not intended for other eyes.
During Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday, a photographer was able to catch a glimpse of the new US president’s cell phone screen for a brief moment – and capture it in a picture. Trump sits in the back seat of a limousine and scrolls through his news.
Donald Trump’s cell phone: big font, big ego
The first thing you notice is that the font of the head of state – who is proudly 78 years old – is set to large. We don’t know whether it’s due to failing eyesight or just a matter of taste.
The President has three notifications to read. At the top, a story from Apple News: “It’s Inauguration Day. Here’s the latest news as Joe Biden’s term ends and Donald Trump returns to the White House.”
Below is a text message: “Hi Mr. President, congratulations! We are…”, the rest is covered by Trump’s finger.
And at the bottom of the screen, Trump is alerted to a missed call from Boris Epshteyn, a longtime .
But there is a detail hidden behind the notifications that also reveals a lot about President Trump: his background screen is Trump himself, with a US flag behind him.
It’s not just the writing on the cell phone that’s huge – Trump’s ego seems to be too.
