They demand to preserve an open and tolerant society: The FDP wants to help more than 50 celebrities in a call for tailwind for the new elections at the end of February.
A month before the Bundestag’s new election, 55 entrepreneurs and celebrities are strong for the FDP in most surveys below the 5 percent hurdle. “We need a slim state that is done quickly, efficiently and digitally, instead of giving up expensive on thousands of construction sites,” says the call, which was published in the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” and the German press Agency available.
The signatories require preserving an open and tolerant society. “This means that we enforce the right, bring order to migration and protect our fundamental rights.” For this it takes “a strong FDP”.

Behind the call are the music producer Paul van Dyk, the singer and composer Peter Schilling, the reigning Ironman world champion Patrick Lange, the former Mercedes Motorsport Director Norbert Haug, the former government spokesman Béla Anda and the entertainer Wigald Boning. In addition, a number of entrepreneurs and managers such as Isabel Grupp-Kofler and Roland Berger as well as the former Volkswagen CEO Matthias Müller are there.
