Heavy fights for Pokrowsk are ongoing

The Russian troops continue to press the front lines at Pokrowsk in eastern Ukraine. Kiev hopes to avert the impending setback with a change of personnel.
Russian attackers and Ukrainian defenders have again fought heavy fights in the east of Ukraine. A total of 153 Russian attacks on various front sections were registered during the day, the general staff in Kiev said in his evening report. The focus of the fighting was once again around the small town of Pokrowsk on the edge of Donbass.
In view of the difficult situation, the Ukrainian units fighting around Donbass received a new commander. President Wolodymyr Selenskyj appointed the previous army commander, General Mychajlo Drapatyj, the new leader of the group “Chortizja” used there. “At the same time, Drapatyj retains the command of the land forces, most of our armed forces, which will help to combine the army’s fighting operations with an appropriate training of the brigades,” said Selenskyj in his evening video address.
The previous commander Andrij Hnatow was transferred to the general staff. Most recently, there had been repeated reports from the Pokrowsk region on fleece -volatile Ukrainian soldiers, since in view of the frequent setbacks, confidence in the military leadership was often lost.
Numerous attacks against Ukrainian lines of defense
Around Pokrowsk, Russian units competed with artillery support for 70 attacks in various places against the Ukrainian lines of defense. The attacks were repelled, it said. The information could not be confirmed independently. According to the Russian representation, the city has already circled from three sides.
According to official information, at least one person was killed in Russian artillery attacks and four more were seriously injured. A woman died in Pokrowsk, in Constantinowka four people were injured when grenades in residential buildings were involved, the regional military administrator Wadim Filaschkin said on Telegram.
According to the Ukrainian strategy expert Andrij Ryschenko, the Russian military almost continued on the fronts around the Donbass. “Above all, she is interested in Pokrowsk, which is an economic goal,” said Ryschenko on radio. “It is known that there are several coal shafts there.” Therefore, the conquest of the city for Russia is important from an economic point of view.
Kyiv: Lager with drone blast heads in Russia attacked
Ukraine, according to Kiev with combat drones on the Russian territory, attacked a depot with drone blast heads. After the attack on the building in Orjol in Central Russia, a strong secondary explosion was registered, the general staff in Kiev said on Facebook. This said that around 200 so-called Schahed chamoic naves were taken out of action, it said.
The information from Kyiv could not be checked independently. There was no explanation on the Russian side. Orjol is almost 350 kilometers southwest of Moscow.
The Ukrainian armed forces have been attacking military bases, refineries and ammunition depots in Russian territory with rockets and far -reaching drones for some time to make the care of Russia used in Ukraine.
Kyiv recently developed his own drones with a large reach, which can attack goals far within Russia. Russia sends new drones towards Ukraine
The Russian military again started larger drone swarms towards Ukraine on Sunday evening. The groups of unmanned aerial aviation were spotted by the Ukrainian air defense in various regions – in Cherson in the south, in Charkiw in the east and Poltauwa in Central Lucraine. According to the military administration there, hostile drones were also registered in the Kyiv region.
