The Union has made clear criticism of the AfD in its proposals for migration policy. The right -wing populists probably want to agree.
The AfD parliamentary group will probably agree with the planned applications of the Union for a sharp migration policy despite AfD criticism included-provided that they will vote this week. According to DPA information, the parliamentary group was agreed on a corresponding recommendation. However, a spokesman pointed out that the final versions of the Union applications did not yet exist. Decisions about this would only be made in the AfD parliamentary group meeting on Tuesday.
The AfD officially remains the opponent of the CDU
Two application designs from the Union had become public at the weekend. In one of them, the Union is sharply distinguished by the AfD: “The AfD uses problems, concerns and fears that have arisen from mass illegal migration to fuel xenophobia and to circulate conspiracy theories.” The AfD is not a partner, but a political opponent.
AfD party and parliamentary group leader Alice Weidel said at RTL/NTV that one could handle such tips against the AfD very well. It is right for her if the CDU finally mine seriously with a reputable migration policy. “Of course we will also agree.”
