Israeli President accuses of failure against anti -Semitism

In a speech on the Holocaust Memorial Day, Israeli President Isaac Herzog accused the United Nations to fail in the fight against anti-Semitism. “Instead of fulfilling their purpose and courageous against a global epidemic of jihadists, murderers and hideous terror, this meeting has repeatedly revealed its moral bankruptcy,” said Herzog before the UN General Assembly.
With a view to the major Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, with over 1200 deaths, Herzog said: “How is it possible that international institutions that have arisen as an alliance against the Nazis, anti-Semitic, genocide teachings after the greatest massacre of Jews Let run free run free since World War II? “
UN General Secretary condemns Hamas attack on Israel
Institutions such as the International Criminal Court (ICC) accused Herzog to choose “outrageous hypocrisy and the protection of the perpetrators”. Last year, the ICC had galant arrest warrant against Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the dismissed Israeli Minister of Defense Joav. The background was alleged war crimes in the Gaza War.
In his speech, UN General Secretary António Guterres condemned the “horrific attacks by Hamas on October 7” and warned that anti-Semitism will grow again and is fueled by “the same lies and the same hatred that made the genocide of the Nazis possible”.
