According to a survey, cooperation with the AfD in the Bundestag considers about half of the Germans to be justifiable in individual cases. 42 percent in the survey of the opinion research institute YouGov spoke against working with the AfD.

In contrast, a total of 22 percent of the respondents see no problem in a cooperation in individual facts. 30 percent also stated that a government coalition with the AfD should also be possible. 6 percent made no statement about how to deal with the party. The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution is observing the AfD as a right -wing extremist suspicion.

A clear majority finds rejection to borders correctly

The Union today brings two proposals in the Bundestag with demands for tightening in asylum law. Chancellor candidate Friedrich Merz (CDU) had announced that it would accept AfD votes for a tougher course in migration policy. He received a lot of criticism for this.

Even after the legally controversial claim, the opinion researchers asked not only to control migrants at the German borders, but also to reject them. 80 percent of those surveyed consider the proposal to be correct – 10 percent is wrong. Another 10 percent did not state.

The research institute surveyed 2,110 voters at the end of January.
