Gaza War: Hamas confirms for the first time to death her military chief

After an air raid on the Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif in summer, Israel announced his death. The Hamas initially denied this.

Around six months after an Israeli air raid on the then Hamas military leader, Mohammed Deif, the Islamist terrorist organization officially confirmed his death for the first time. In addition, Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida now explained for the first time that the third highest Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip, Marwan Issa, was dead.

Last July, Israel’s military had attacked Chan Junis in the south of the coastal area and claimed it. Dozens of people died in the attack. As early as March 2024, Israel’s army announced the killing of Deif’s deputy Marwan Issa in an air beat.

A good three months ago, Israel also declared the Hamas leader Jihia al-Sinwar dead. The Hamas confirmed this at the time. He was considered the mastermind of the massacre in Israel on October 7, 2023. Deif as head of the Kassam brigades also played a central role in the terrorist attack on Israel with more than 1,200 deaths.
