The CDU cooperation with the AfD drives demonstrators onto the streets of Berlin. But that’s not why there are protests at the party congress on Monday.
In Berlin, several demonstrations are announced for today as part of the CDU party conference. According to a police spokesman, eleven different rallies are planned around the exhibition hall in the Berlin-Charlottenburg district. Not all demonstrations are directed against cooperation with the AfD. The topics are diverse.
According to the police, 200 people are registered for the demonstration of Fridays for Future, which is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
Even more participants could for demonstration with the name “Protest for the CDU Federal Party Conference- against Fascism, Queer, Trans- and Mysislitness- for progressive instead of right-wing conservative politics!” come. According to the police, 350 people were registered by a private person.
