Moscow politician: Putin’s soon meeting with Trump
According to information from Moscow, Kremlin chief Putin and US President Trump could soon meet. While the Kremlin is covered, a foreign politician says a little more about the stand of preparations.
The prominent Russian foreign politician Leonid Sluzki is expecting a meeting of Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump in the near future. “February or March, we do not want to advise you and give the two guides the opportunity to prepare yourself carefully and all -round, but it will soon take place,” said Sluzki, the head of the Federal Foreign Committee of State Duma, according to the Russian news agency Interfax in Moscow . Preparations for the meeting are in a “advanced stage”.
So far, Trump and Putin have only repeatedly agreed to agree to a solution to the Ukraine conflict at a meeting. But there is no place or a date for such conversations. So far, the Kremlin had only confirmed that there are now contacts between the Russian and the US side, but no details.
Sluzki, who was also involved in the first negotiations for a solution in the conflict in 2022, now expressed hope that the meeting of the two presidents would be constructive. “It is about Ukraine, the Middle East and in general about questions of world politics and international relations in the near future. I am sure that this meeting will be a milestone,” said Sluzki.
Russia attacked Ukraine in February 2022 and has been waging against the neighboring country, which has been a war of death and destruction.
