The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, held on February 2, was kind. The Chechen leader spoke about this on February 3.
“The President, as always, supported us. There were sharp questions. As always, the personal participation of the president was needed,” he said in a video posted by Chechen Minister for National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press and Information Akhmed Dudayev on Instagram.
According to Kadyrov, after the meeting with Putin, he is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and a number of deputy prime ministers. As the head of the Chechen Republic noted, further acute issues will be resolved in the same way.
Dudayev noted that Kadyrov is on a business trip in Moscow. The politician sent the video from there.
Earlier Thursday, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin and Kadyrov discussed economic affairs and issues of the republic’s socio-economic development at a meeting in the Kremlin. During the conversation, the Chechen leader noted that thanks to the effective measures taken under the leadership of Putin, Chechnya manages to maintain the pace of development in the difficult conditions of the coronavirus pandemic.
