There are ten constituencies in the 2025 federal election in Brandenburg. Germany is divided into a total of 299. Why this is and how you find your constituency.
The Bundestag election 2025 is scheduled for February 23. In Brandenburg, voters have the opportunity to vote in ten constituencies. But which constituency is responsible for my city? This overview helps you to find the right constituency.
Usually the Bundestag election takes place every four years. This year, however, it was brought forward because Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the end of the traffic light coalition in November 2024 and asked the question of trust on December 16, 2024. The Bundestag refused to trust Scholz with a majority of 394 MPs. The election was thus brought forward and now takes place in February 2025.

How many constituencies are there in Germany?
Germany is currently divided into 299 constituencies, which are structured in such a way that they enable a fair distribution of the votes. However, these limits can change every four years. The need to redistribute constituencies between the federal states and the new delimitation of individual constituencies results from population development and municipal area changes.
To find out which constituency you are entitled to vote, visit the official website and enter your address. There you will find the information about your responsible constituency and polling station.
