The issue of “blood feud” is traditional for Chechnya, but it does not correlate with the legislation of the Russian Federation, the main thesis of which is the rule of law. This was announced on Friday, February 4, by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
Thus, the Kremlin representative answered the journalist’s question that calls for “blood feud” allegedly continue in the Chechen media. However, the journalist did not give examples of such publications.
In turn, Peskov found it difficult to answer the question of how the Kremlin sees the resolution of this contradiction.
“This is probably the specific I can’t tell you. The only thing, of course, is the rule of law – this is the main thesis in this situation, ”added the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.
Earlier Thursday, Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, discussed economic affairs and issues of the republic’s socio-economic development at a meeting in the Kremlin. During the conversation, the Chechen leader noted that thanks to the effective measures taken under the leadership of Putin, the republic manages to maintain the pace of development in the difficult conditions of the coronavirus pandemic.
