Hamas: Put the body of Schiri Bibas to the Red Cross
The remains of the hostage should have returned to Israel on Thursday – but according to Israeli information, another body was handed over. Now Hamas wants to have corrected this.
According to its own statements, Islamist Hamas has now transferred the body of the Geisel Schiri Bibas killed in the Gaza Strip to the Red Cross. This was confirmed by a official of the organization of the German Press Agency. The remains of the woman should have returned to Israel together with those of her two toddlers on Thursday. In the coffin that Hamas had handed over to the Red Cross, however, there was the body of another, unknown woman.
Israeli army wants to check the Hamas information
The terrorist organization later admitted a possible error. The exchange – whether knowingly or accidentally – triggered great outrage in Israel. The Israeli military now explained on Friday that he wanted to check the information.
