Russia has seen many times how “Westerners spoil the Olympic Games, but the current approach to the projectile was invented by real perverts who are ready for anything.” This was stated on February 5 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on the scandalous publications of the Bloomberg agency and the Bild newspaper.
“Global information and political shambles of NATO desires. Many times we have seen Westerners spoil the Olympic Games. But the current approach to the projectile was invented by real perverts who are ready for anything, ”she wrote in her Telegram channel.
Zakharova recalled that Bloomberg had already published a fake about the agreements between Russia and China on the topic of Ukraine.
“Bloomberg wrote today about the “Russian invasion of Ukraine”. The same American agency Bloomberg, which two weeks ago published a fake about “Russian-Chinese agreements on the invasion of Ukraine,” she said.
Earlier in the day, the German tabloid Bild published a report by unnamed secret services about Russia’s alleged “plan” to annex Ukraine. The article cites a commentary by the Russian Embassy in Germany, where the statements made by the publication are called “a strange mixture of speculation and rumors.”
The publication of Bild appeared after the nightly publication of the Bloomberg agency about the alleged start of the “invasion” of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. The agency recognized the publication as erroneous and assured that it would look into the reasons.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the erroneous publication of Bloomberg speaks of the danger of aggressive statements by the United States and the capitals of the West. He noted that after the incident, the term “fake news” can be replaced with “bloomberg news”, “which will be justified.”
On February 2, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced that the United States was refusing to use the word “imminent” regarding a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine, as it misrepresented Washington’s message.
Psaki and U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken earlier in February compared Russia to a fox on the roof of a chicken coop yelling about the danger from chickens. In response, the first deputy head of the Duma Committee on International Affairs, Vyacheslav Nikonov, noted that comparing Ukraine with a chicken coop should be offensive to Kiev.
At the same time, the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov also recalled that traditionally Russia has always been compared to a bear, and with all the desire, he cannot climb onto the roof of the chicken coop, he is too big.
In late January, Bloomberg, citing a diplomat in China, reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping allegedly asked Russian leader Vladimir Putin “not to attack Ukraine” during the Beijing Winter Olympics. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on this information, said that this “is no longer a fake, this is an information special operation of the relevant American services” with the help of this media. The Chinese Embassy in Moscow called the publication “a fake and a provocation.”
Western politicians and media representatives continue to spread numerous speculations about possible Russian aggression against Ukraine. The Russian side has repeatedly refuted such statements, emphasizing that it has no plans to invade a neighboring country.
Thus, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is not going to start a war with Ukraine, and Western countries and the United States are “hysterically” developing the topic of a threat to Ukraine from the Russian Federation instead of forcing Ukraine to comply with the Minsk agreements.
