Senator Klimov called the madman who published the Bloomberg news about the “invasion”

Only a madman could publish the Bloomberg news about Russia’s “invasion” of Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by MIC “Izvestia” Senator Andrey Klimov on Saturday, February 5.

The senator believes that the United States prepared a publication plan in advance in order to escalate the situation around a possible war in Ukraine.

“The theme was that all this would happen at the beginning of the Olympics. The Olympics began, and either the nerves passed, or someone violated the instructions, and they gave it away. This is called a false start. Even look at the time, it happened around 00:00 Moscow time on February 5, ”Klimov said.

He recalled that on that day the Beijing Olympics opened, and Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed a joint agreement.

“When this bird flew out, it showed the world exactly where the aggressors are and where those who are really fighting for the preservation of global peace are. Those who fight ended up in Beijing. This is Putin and Xi Jinping. And those who fomented the war ended up on US soil. Only a madman could deliberately demonstrate such things after signing these documents, ”concluded the senator.

Earlier in the day, Bloomberg released a text referring to Russia’s alleged “invasion” of Ukraine, and removed it soon after. The journalists later posted a post in which they apologized for the incident, calling it a mistake. The agency explained that they are preparing headlines for many scenarios, and the headline “Russia invades Ukraine” was published unintentionally.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the erroneous publication of Bloomberg speaks of the danger of aggressive statements by the United States and the capitals of the West. He noted that after the incident, the term “fake news” can be replaced with “bloomberg news”, “which will be justified.”

In turn, Senator Konstantin Kosachev said that the publication of false news is a deliberate provocation or a consequence of the psychosis of the West. The director general of the Russian International Affairs Council, political scientist Andrei Kortunov, told Izvestia that the agency’s report is a manifestation of the information war.

On February 2, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced that the United States was refusing to use the word “imminent” regarding a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine, as it misrepresented Washington’s message.

Western politicians and media representatives continue to spread numerous speculations about possible Russian aggression against Ukraine. The Russian side has repeatedly refuted such statements, emphasizing that it has no plans to invade a neighboring country.

Thus, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is not going to start a war with Ukraine, and Western countries and the United States are “hysterically” developing the topic of a threat to Ukraine from the Russian Federation instead of forcing Ukraine to comply with the Minsk agreements.
