Remote duel Selenskyj and Trump: Selenskyj: “We need a just peace”

In response to the American President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj spoke out for a quick end to war with Russia and an acceptable peace. “We need peace, just a fair, fair peace and no endless war,” said the head of state in his evening video message. The basic scenario is to keep the current Ukrainian positions on the front and thus create the prerequisite for “correct diplomacy”. Previously, Trump had accused Selenskyj in his social network True Social again not to be interested in a peace conclusion.

To do this, Selenskyj again insisted on security guarantees for his country. “Lefrising security guarantees allowed Russia to start eleven years ago with the occupation of the (peninsula) Crimea and the war in Donbass,” emphasized the head of state. The major invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army that started in 2022 and continues to this day is also the result of non -granted security guarantees. “And that sees the whole world and recognizes the whole world,” emphasized Selenskyj. The insistence on Selenskyjs on especially US guarantees before a ceasefire was interpreted by Trump as a non-interest in peace with Russia.

Due to last Friday escalated between the two heads of state, Kiev threatens to lose the support of one of the most important allies. Ukraine has already defended itself against a Russian invasion for more than three years.
