Up to 1000 people die in massacres in Syria
The bloodbath in Syria does not end. In the case of renewed massacres of Alawites and their allies, Islamists are said to have murdered at least 973 people – including children.
In the course of the deadly violence in the west of Syria, activists have occurred “ethnic cleansing actions”. As the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced on Monday, at least 973 civilians were killed in numerous massacres in coastal areas and in the Latakia Mountains. Among them are women and children. Meanwhile, Syria’s temporary president Ahmed al-Sharaa assured that all those responsible are punished.
According to the observational site, the “killings, executions on site and ethnic cleansing actions” are not yet over in the course of the fatal clashes between security forces of the new Islamist leadership and fighters of the Alawite minority. “Massacre” and “executions” of Alawites
Three months after the fall of the long-time ruler Bashar al-Assad, emergency services of the new Islamist rulers had committed massacres in hundreds of civilians in the west of the country, according to matching reports in the past few days.
According to the observation site, more than 1300 people have been killed in the northwest of the country since Thursday, including at least 830 members of the Alawite minority. Eyewitnesses reported on the weekend of real hunting scenes, Patriarch Johannes X. also spoke of massacres to Christians.
The observation center spoke of real “massacres” and “executions” in which children were also killed. The victims would be chosen to the Alawites or their place of residence due to their belonging.
In the majority of Alawites Latakia region, there were violent battles between fighters of the new Islamist leadership and supporters of Assad, which belongs to the Alawite minority on Thursday. On Friday, the new tour started a large -scale mission against “the remains of Assad’s militias and their supporters”.
The government of the half -autonomous Kurdish government in northeastern Syria condemned violence on Sunday and warned in a declaration of a return “in a dark time that the Syrians do not want to experience again”.
Syria’s transitional government wanted to protect minorities
Transitional President Al-Schaharaa, whose Islamist government has been moderate since the fall of ruler Bashar al-Assad, called in a mosque in Damascus to preserve “the national unity” and the “inner peace” of the country “as far as possible”. He added: “God wants to, we will be able to live together as far as possible in this country.”
According to its own statements, the Syrian Presidential Office used an “independent” investigation commission to “examine the attacks on civilians and identify those responsible”.

In Damascus, security forces meanwhile dissolved a silence for the victims after there had been counterfeiting with counter -demonstrators. The protesters were sold with warning shots.
Later, Al-Sharaa said in a video message spread by the Syrian news agency: “With determination and without indulgence, we will be responsible for everyone who was involved in bloodshed among the civilian population or who exceeded the state’s powers.”
The Islamist HTS militia of Al-Sharaa and allied militias had conquered Damascus on December 8 and ended Assad’s decades of terror. Since the takeover of power, Al-Sharaa has repeatedly assured that he wants to protect the minorities in the country. The HTS once emerged from the Al-Nusra front, the Syrian branch of the Al Qaeda terror network.
