Trump, Vance and the cloverleaf: completely from the socks
Usually Trump is not so easy to distract during his versions. His vice has now succeeded with a small change in his clothes.
US Vice President JD Vance knocked his boss off his socks: with cloverleaf socks that he had attracted to a reception for the Irish head of government Micheál Martin in the White House, he managed to throw President Donald Trump out of the train. Trump just spoke about inflation when he stopped looking at the feet of his vice and said: “I love these socks, what about these socks?” Trump continued that he had attempts to stay focused, but the socks of his vice had distracted him. The cloverleaf is the unofficial Irish national symbol.
Vance had previously said at a meeting without Trump that the president attached great importance to conservative clothing. If he is asked by Trump about it, one should defend him and say that they are an important part of cementing Irish-American relationships.
