Laschet: Is constantly being confused with Pistorius
They are both 64, of similar stature, live on the same street. And sometimes Boris Pistorius and Armin Laschet cause confusion. For example, if one dwells with the e-scooter to the Bundestag.
The former CDU chairman Armin Laschet is repeatedly confused with Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) – which sometimes causes excitement among the security guards of the minister. He lives in Berlin on the same street as Pistorius and always drive to the Bundestag with the e-scooter in the morning, Laschet reports in the podcast “My worst decision” by the Funke media group.
“And then there was huge upright in the ministry that the police called, you have to tell him now that the minister cannot drive through the area with the e -scooter – and it was not him, but I was at all,” said Laschet. “Waps again and again.” At the Munich security conference, a soldier said before the elevator “Good morning, Minister.” He replied: “I’m not her minister.”
And because the Ministry of Defense’s company car stands in front of Pistorius’ door every morning, he jokingly said: “At some point I get in there and then we drive off.” Pistorius could also laugh about that.
