The weapons should actually be silent. However, Israel sees itself in the right when it notices threatening military activities of Hamas – and reacts with fatal air strikes.
According to Palestinian information, at least nine people were killed in an Israeli drone attack in the Gaza Strip. Among the victims of the attack were helpers from a rescue team who was in the northern city of Beit Lahia, it was said from medical circles in the Gaza Strip. Among the dead were also photo journalists, a media spokesman and a driver.
The Israeli military confirmed the attack, but made no information about injured or dead. The Israeli armed forces said that they had identified two Hamas fighters in Beit Lahia who handled with a drone. They would have presented a threat to Israeli troops nearby, whereupon the military attacked them. Afterwards, other militants would have collected the drone equipment and climbed a vehicle. The Israeli military also attacked this group.
None of the pages could initially be checked independently. In the Gaza Strip, a brittle ceasefire between Israel and Islamist Hamas has been in place since January 19. Israel’s military reserves the right to shoot people when it comes to assessing that they are a threat to Israeli soldiers or positions.
