Mark Kelly returns his Tesla with Musk after “asshole” dispute with Musk

Elon Musk and the US senator Mark Kelly will probably no longer be friends. Last week Musk insulted the war veteran after visiting Ukraine and criticizing Donald Trump’s dealings with the country.

This was followed by a little squeamish word battle in which Kelly, in turn, insulted and announced that he wanted to sell his Tesla. He did that – and presented his new vehicle directly.

While this is only a small marginal note in great US politics, some Germans feel the politics of Trump immediately. The reports on German citizens who were sitting in the USA in the United States are piling up. Now there is a new case.

As for verbal intensity, Mark Kelly and Elon Musk gave themselves little in their public dispute. “Traiter” scolded Musk the US senator and war veteran, after he put his bad impressions in Ukraine into words in a video and said US President lets Ukraine down through his politics. As a traitor, no veteran really wants to be insulted who risked his life for the USA. So Kelly shot back.

He, who drove a Tesla until this point, said: “Elon Musk turned out to be an asshole. And I don’t want to drive a car that was built and designed by an asshole.” Ouch. “Every time I get into this car for the last 60 days,” he said, “it reminds me of all the damage that Elon Musk and Donald Trump do to our country.”

Kelly sold the electric car and got a new one – a Chevrolet Tahoe. The model of the American carmaker was built by Americans who belong to unions, which was another small tip against Musk, whose company Tesla has a least affected relationship with unions.

However, Kelly will have to do without emission -free driving like the Tesla in his new vehicle. The Chevy Tahoe (an SUV) is only available as a petrol engine – depending on the engine, consumption is up to 16 liters per hundred kilometers.
