Bavaria’s CSU Health Minister is calling for the entire German health system to prepare for crises-also for warlike attacks of all kinds.
From the perspective of Bavaria’s Minister of Health Judith Gerlach (CSU), the German health system must be prepared for a possible warfall. “The military threat of Europe from Russia and the possible departure of the new US president Trump from the previous security partnership also mean massive need for the German health system and the entire civil society,” said the CSU politician of the “Augsburger Allgemeine”.
“Prepare health system for all types of crises”
You need a comprehensive “civil surgical plan Germany,” she said. “This is nothing less than preparing the entire health system in all types of crises – even for warlike attacks of all kinds.”
Intact health care is just as important for the defense of a country as the Bundeswehr, said Gerlach. It must be ensured that significantly more people could be treated than in peace. The state must make clear guidelines. “This affects the EU level, the federal government and the countries.”
Secure the supply of pharmaceuticals
It must also be clarified what could be dispensed with in deficiency: the rich “from reporting obligations to standards and exams to staff specifications”. Gerlach also urged to secure the supply of medicinal products.
In addition, not only a possible compulsory conscription, but also about a community service that could support united institutions.
