Green faction expects 112 votes in votes

The vote still takes place with the old Bundestag, in which CDU, CSU, SPD and Greens have the two -thirds majority necessary for the constitutional changes. There is a buffer of 31 votes.
The package provides for more security expenses. Defense, civil protection, intelligence services and cyber security should only fall under the debt brake up to a percent of the gross domestic product – i.e. measured on GDP 2024. Everything in addition can be paid from loans.
Co-parliamentary group leader Katharina Dröge again emphasized “that we would have liked another parliamentary procedure”. Questions from citizens who reformed the new Bundestag for reforming the debt brake are justified.
