With an initiative for new Ukraine military aids worth up to 40 billion euros, the EU foreign commissioner Kaja Kallas failed for the time being. But she doesn’t want to give up completely.
The EU foreign commissioner Kaja Kallas has called on to provide five billion euros for ammunition deliveries to the Ukrainian armed forces. Not only words, but also deeds to help Ukraine in their defense against Russia, said the former Estonian head of government at the EU summit in Brussels.
Kallas had originally presented a plan that provided European military aid commitments in the amount of 20 to 40 billion euros this year. However, there was not enough support for this in the circle of Member States. One reason is the high debt of many EU countries.
Kallas said that she was happy to learn more about his recent conversation with US President Donald Trump about his recent conversation with the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj. She very much welcomes Trump’s announcement that the United States wants to try to procure additional air defense systems for Ukraine. “This is of the greatest importance,” she said.
