Colorful socks in the coalition negotiations: politicians sometimes make an exception to the photo ban. It’s for a good thing.
In the coalition negotiations in Berlin, a working group (AG) broke for the good cause with the self -imposed photo ban: Negotiator of the AG “Family, Women, Youth, Seniors and Democracy” highly invited an idea of colorful socks on Instagram. Background: On Friday, people from solidarity attracted such socks to the World-Down Syndrome Day.
“A” forbidden “photo from the coalition negotiations. For the reason, we will hopefully warp,” wrote the North Rhine-Westphalian SPD politician Jochen Ott about the picture on which his foot can also be seen. The CDU member of the Bundestag Mareike Lotte Wulf also invited the photo to Instagram and, apart from Ott Midyatli (SPD) and Wiebke Esdar (SPD).
Selfie ban on negotiations
The leaders from Union and the SPD had made strict requirements for their consultations to the members of the working groups. “No statements, no press conferences, no communication between intermediate results, no selfies etc.”, it said in a “handout on the coalition negotiations 2025”.
