Bombarded gas station
Is the partial armory between Russia and Ukraine already at the end?

Limited ceasefire should pave the way to peace negotiations – but hardly announced, it has apparently been broken.
A limited mini-armistice should pave the way to peace negotiations. In a phone call between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, the two steerers agreed on this armistice. For 30 days, the conflict parties should refrain from attacking facilities of the energy infrastructure. But hardly announced, he was already broken
This “ceasefire” does not affect the fighting. The floor battles remain unaffected, even air strikes with sliding bombs, drones, rockets and marching aircraft can continue – as long as they hit other goals. The partial ceasefire only has a symbolic value. If you comply, no side gains a decisive advantage. But he offers the opportunity to show good will for 30 days and to signal willingness to negotiate instead of gun violence.
Russian gas system attacked
Nevertheless, he was injured. A gastransite system was bombarded. It is located in the Russian area, but is probably still under Ukrainian control, directly on the border in the former front lead near Kursk. After the defeat around Sudscha, the Ukrainians keep a narrow strip of Russian territory. This important pumping station is part of the “Urengoy Pomary-Schhorod” pipeline system, which once guided gas from Siberia via Ukraine to Europe. Since Kiev stopped the transit Russian gas at the end of 2024, it has lost importance, but the attack could aim to permanently destroy the infrastructure and to impair Europe’s energy supply in the long term. The Russians used these pipelines a few kilometers northeast for their surprise attack on Sudscha, when around 800 soldiers reached the back of the Ukrainian lines of defense underground.
There are no clear evidence of the author of the attack – they could only be found through debris from the weapon used. The inspection indicates Kiev, but a Russian False flag operation cannot be ruled out. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs accuses Ukraine of saboting the peace process before it starts. The station is currently meaningless anyway: the guest transport to the west has been stopped, and Russian military operations have made the tubes unusable. Re -commissioning of the pipeline system could become more difficult and expensive in the future.
Formally no violation of ceasefire
It is questionable whether the attack formally violated the agreement – he happened before the conversation between President Selenskyj and Donald Trump, so before Selenskyj could have made a promise. However, the proposal of the partial ceasefire was already known worldwide. Destroying an infrastructure facility shortly before entry into force may be formally correct, but shows the opposite of good will. The Trump government should have noticed that. The contrast to Vladimir Putin catches the eye: just ten minutes after talking to Trump, he is said to have ordered the immediate end of all attacks on energy systems – a calculated step that not only flatters Trump’s ego, but also gains the USA as a neutral actor and should weaken support for Ukraine. The Russians are said to have even shot down drones themselves. This quick action fits perfectly with the nature of the US President and his idea of ”Men Make History”. Politically, Kyiv now bears the damage.
The strategic air war continues militarily. The port city of Odessa is attacked by Russia more violently, presumably to block western arms deliveries. It is worrying that the Russians are increasingly succeeding with geran drones after Iranian patterns-a cheap weapon like the Shahed-136, the sheer quantity of which overwhelm the Ukrainian air defense. In the case of Odessa, the drones can approach water. So the Ukrainians cannot build a defense belt that consists of falcon tuners and bundled machine guns.
Russia extends attacks
The Russians attack command structures nationwide. They have clear advantages in the strategic air war. The Ukrainians can enlighten static goals such as airports and refineries themselves, otherwise they rely on western target education, mostly from the USA. To put it simply: Donald Trump must approved every worthwhile goal. In addition, the Russians have a large number of Iskander missiles. These ballistic systems achieve with high precision and speeds up to make 6-7 their goals much faster than drones or marching aircraft and so they can also hit mobile goals. Ukraine develops its own medium -range missiles such as “Sapsan” and a “Neptune” with an increased range. They have been successfully tested, but series production is a long time coming. Ukraine has the know -how for such rockets, but the technology is far more complex than with long -distance roar, which often use commercially available engines. Unlike drone components, rocket engines are not inconspicuously available on the free market – they have to be manufactured under the pressure of Russian air strikes in Ukraine. Underground factories from the Stalin and Soviet period help underground, some of which can withstand atomic bombs.
