Selenskyj: Russia pulls war in length

In Riyadh, negotiations are being made about a possible end of the war in which Ukraine rages the war. Kiev accuses Moscow of not being interested in an early end of the fights.

With a view to the latest round of discussions about possible ways to peace under US mediation, Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj Moscow has accused the war. Russia had brought about the war and continued it, Selenskyj said in his evening video message. “Since March 11th there has been a proposal for unconditional ceasefire, and the attacks have long since stopped, but it is Russia that continues all.”

Selenskyj referred to series of Russian drone attacks in the past few days. “If no pressure is exerted on Russia, they will continue to despise real diplomacy in Moscow and continue to destroy life,” he accused the Russian leadership.

Previously, representatives of the Ukrainian delegation had come together in the Saudi capital Riyadh. At the negotiations, the American negotiators meet with the Russian delegation on Monday, in order to then explore possible paths to a peace solution in a form of pendulum diplomacy.

According to Ukrainian representation, Riad is initially concerned with technical questions. There would be suggestions for the protection of energy systems and critical infrastructure on the agenda, said Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umjerow. “Today we work through a number of complex technical questions – our delegation belong to both energy experts and military representatives of the naval and air forces.”

“The work of the delegations continues,” said Selenskyj. “But no matter what we talk to our partners about, we (Kremlin boss Vladimir) have to urge Putin to actually arrange a stop of the attacks: whoever caused this war must end it.”
