A US delegation is already traveling to Greenland, which President Donald Trump would like to see as part of the United States. But there you are not very enthusiastic about the visit.
US President Donald Trump has eaten a fool of Greenland and would at least not rule out military means to make the island into part of the United States. Since then, Greenland, which officially belongs to Denmark, has become the coveted travel destination of Trump supporters.
After visiting the oldest Trump son a few weeks ago, Usha Vance would like to travel there this week. She is the wife of the Vice President JD – and apparently not welcome.
Mute B. Eggede, Prime Minister of Greenland and involuntary hosts of the US delegation, that the will of the Greenlanders to be diplomatic, simply “bounce off and control Greenland to Donald Trump and his government. He called the visit “extremely aggressive”.
What he is particularly bothered by is the occupation of the tour group. In addition to Usha Vance and her son, Trump’s Minister of Energy Wright is there – that this could be due to the fact that Trump is targeting special natural resources.
Greenland’s Prime Minister is annoyed by visiting Usha Vance
Mute B. Eggede is most annoyed that Michael Waltz is the USA’s national security advisor. “What is he doing in Greenland?” Asked Eggede. He was only there to demonstrate the power of the United States.
Officially, the delegation wants to deal with the culture and history of Greenland. The wife of the Vice President wants to look at the famous dog sled race Avannaata Qimussersu, while Waltz wants to visit a US military base.
A spokesman for Michael Waltz said that the visit serves to respect the Greenland’s independence.
Criticism also came up at the time of the visit because Greenland recently chose and politics is still in negotiations. In addition, Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen made it clear that the Americans do not enter Danish or Greenlandic invitation. Mute B. Eggede asked the “international community to act”.
