The President of Ukraine published his annual income in 2024. But how much do other heads of state and government earn? Not everyone deals openly.
The Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj has disclosed his income from the previous year and some details about his current family life. According to the tax return published by the Presidential Office, the Selenskyj family is said to have taken a total of 15.2 million GRIWNA (around 335,000 euros) last year. Almost half of the government bonds were sold. The presidential content was also increased by bank interest and income from the renting of their own real estate.
“The treasurer of the family of the head of state has not changed significantly by the end of 2024,” said the press service Selenskyjs. However, the press service does not reveal the current cash register. Selenskyj worked as an actor, film producer and screenwriter before his time. Different sources appreciate the assets of the Selenskyjs to several million dollars, precise figures are not known.
The salaries of state and government heads
Selenskyj is in the lower income area of state and government heads worldwide. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan receives the least in our list as President of Türkiye. Nevertheless, he has accumulated a fortune – just like the Russian President Vladimir Putin, who, according to estimates, has dozens, if not more than 100 billion euros. In contrast, Donald Trump is almost modest as US president. He was entitled to $ 400,000, but he announced that he would do without this money. His real estate should be profitable enough, and he was wealthy even before he moved into the White House. As Chancellor, Friedrich Merz (CDU) can expect at least 330,000 euros in annual salary.
