U.S. President Donald Trump takes out the customs hammer: the United States imposes trade tariffs for almost all states. This is how it hits the countries in the world.

The new tariffs that US President Donald Trump announced hit some countries particularly hard. Sometimes very small trading partners are punished, some of which are crisis countries such as Syria or Myanmar. In our interactive map, see which state gets which tariffs:

The toughest punitive tariffs, each with 50 percent, meet a French overseas area-the island group Saint-Pierre and Miquelon-and the African small state of Lesotho, about which Trump had recently been sustaining, nobody heard of that. Trump had announced new flat -rate tariffs of ten percent on most imports to the United States. For many countries, higher punitive levies should apply depending on the trade deficit, the Republican had declared. In particular, those countries are targeted that, from the United States, have particularly high trade barriers for American products. New tariffs of 20 percent are planned for imports from the European Union to the United States. It is 34 percent for China.
