Russia recorded high losses in the war of attack against Ukraine. NATO now announces a new estimate to its extent.
According to NATO, the Russian losses in the war of aggression against Ukraine have recently increased significantly. A high-ranked NATO official spoke in Brussels on the sidelines of an foreign ministerial meeting of up to 250,000 deaths. Overall, he put the number of killed or injured Russian soldiers at around 900,000.
For February alone, more than 35,100 Russian losses are assumed. Losses always mean killed or injured soldiers. At the end of October 2024, NATO spoke of more than 600,000 losses.

The NATO official stated the total number of North Korean stationed in the Russian border region of Kursk with around 11,000. According to the information, 3,500 others were sent to Russia for training purposes in January and February.
