What the bosses of the Union and SPD – Merz, Söder and Klingbeil – have previously negotiated – is also in the case of ever greater resentment. But they stick to their course.
Despite the growing troubles about the black-red coalition negotiations, CSU chairman Markus Söder and SPD boss Lars Klingbeil are on the right track. In the end, a coalition agreement will be presented that “concerns and solves and solves Germany’s major problems,” assured Söder in the ZDF talk broadcast “Maybrit Illner”. “The credibility depends on whether we manage to change something.”
Klingbeil stands for the targeted coalition
Most recently, leading business associations had shown themselves disappointed with the previous results of the coalition talks. The criticism also grows on the CDU base. According to surveys, the Union parties are only just ahead of the AfD.
SPD boss Klingbeil still stands for the target coalition with the CDU and CSU, as he assured in ZDF: “The best thing you can do about a right-wing extremist party is a stable government in the middle of the country that touches the big problems of that time.”
